Bhubaneswar: The BJP Government and the Governing Party has made elaborate arrangements to give a grand reception to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his maidan visit after formation of BJP government in the State on his birthday, tomorrow.
This is the PM’s first visit to the state after attending the swearing-in ceremony of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on June 12.
He will land at the Biju Patnaik International Airport at 10.50 AM and then travel to Gadkana village where he will interact with the beneficiaries of PM Awas Yojana, officials said.
He would then reach Janata Maidan around 12 PM, from where he will launch the Subhadra Yojana, and unveil railway projects worth Rs 2,871 crore and highway projects worth Rs 1,000 crore.
Shri Modi would leave for Delhi around 1.15 PM. Elaborate arrangements have been made by the state government and the BJP to make the visit a grand success.
Subhadra, the flagship scheme of the BJP Government is the largest, single women-centric scheme and is expected to cover more than 1 crore women. Under the scheme, all eligible beneficiaries between the age of 21-60 years would receive Rs. 50,000/- over a period of 5 years between 2024-25 to 2028-29.
An amount of Rs 10,000 per annum in two equal instalments will be credited directly to the beneficiary’s Aadhaar-enabled and DBT-enabled bank account.
On this historic occasion, the Prime Minister would initiate the fund transfer into the bank accounts of more than 10 lakh women.
The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone and dedicate to the nation Railway Projects worth more than Rs 2800 crores in Bhubaneswar. These Railway projects will enhance Railway infrastructure in Odisha and improve growth and connectivity in the region. He will also lay the foundation stone of National Highway Projects worth more than Rs 1000 crores.
The Prime Minister will release the 1st instalment of assistance to nearly 10 lakh beneficiaries under PMAY-G of around 14 states.
The Griha Pravesh celebrations for 26 lakh beneficiaries of PMAY (Gramin and Urban) from across the country will be held during the programme. The Prime Minister will hand over the keys of their house to PMAY (Gramin and Urban) beneficiaries.
He will also launch Awaas+ 2024 App, for survey of additional households for PMAY-G. Further, Prime Minister will launch the Operational Guidelines of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban (PMAY-U) 2.0.
The Commissionerate Police has made elaborate security arrangements as per the blue book for PM Modi’s one-day visit to the state.
As many as 11 DCP rank officers, 21 Additional DCP, 86 ACP, 120 inspector, 329 other officers and 81 platoons of police force and 500 home guards have been deployed for the security arrangements during PM Modi’s visit.
Besides, three units of Special Tactical Units have been deployed to thwart any terrorist activities during the PM’s visit. Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) teams will also be present at the programme venue. Two companies of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) will be engaged in the security arrangements for PM Modi.
