Bhubaneswar: The Start-up Odisha Yatra 2.0 launched by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on August 26 visited the SOA campus on Tuesday triggering much enthusiasm among students.
The objective of the initiative was to look for best entrepreneurial ideas from the young minds.
As the van rolled into the campus of Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), SOA’s faculty of engineering and technology, students from different branches pitched their ideas which were accepted. Mr. Ravi Pandey and Ms. Asha Mohapatra explained the objective of the initiative.
The aim of the Start-up Odisha Yatra 2.0 is to reach all the 30 districts of the state in 60 days visiting 100 institutions and assemble 5,000 ideas from aspiring entrepreneurs so that they could be extended support from Start-up Odisha.
So far 1,300 start-ups had been registered by students in Odisha of which 40 per cent were women.
The van was welcomed into the ITER campus by its Dean Prof. P K Sahu, Additional Dean (Research) Prof. Priyabrata Patnaik and professors from different departments. The program was coordinated by Dr. Satish Kumar Samal and Mr. Ashok Kumar Nayak.
