Bhubaneswar: Dr. Mrutyunjay Mohapatra, Director General of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), was felicitated on Tuesday by Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) Deemed to be University.
The recognition comes after Dr. Mohapatra was recently awarded the prestigious United Nations Sasakawa Award for his significant contributions to Disaster Risk Reduction.

This felicitation at SOA follows an earlier honor on Saturday, when Dr. Mohapatra was recognized by the Bhubaneswar chapters of the Indian Meteorological Society (IMS) and the Science for Common People Society (SCOPES).
