Bhubaneswar: Prof. (Dr.) Lalit Kumar Meher, an eminent physician of Odisha and advisor to Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University, has been chosen for the award of ‘Master Teacher’ for the current year by the Association of Physicians of India (API).
The Master Teacher Award is a prestigious honour instituted by API to recognize eminent physicians for their contribution in the field of medical education, clinical teaching and mentoring of future generations of healthcare professional.
Prof. (Dr.) Meher, a highly respected professor of General Medicine and former Director of Vir Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR), Burla, is presently functioning as Advisor to SOA which runs the Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital here.
Prof. (Dr.) Manojranjan Nayak, Founder President of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA), on Thursday congratulated Prof. (Dr.) Meher on his selection for the prestigious award and felicitated him.
Prof. Pradipta Kumar Nanda, Vice-Chancellor of SOA and Prof. (Dr.) Sanghamitra Mishra, Dean of IMS and SUM Hospital, were present during the felicitation.
