Bhubaneswar: Union Government has appointed a senior officer of Odisha Finance Service (OFS), Smita Rout to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS).
Department of Personnel & Training has brought out a notification in this regard on 1 February. She has been picked up from Non State Civil Service (NSCS) to IAS.
Shrimati Rout, who is having a brilliant career with Gold Medal in MA(Public Administration), M.Phill and MBA in First Class with specialization in Finance & Human Resources.
After joining OFS, she served in crucial assignments, including District Audit Officer, Puri, Manager Finance, BDA, Joint Secretary and later Additional Secretary in Department of Finance.
Shrimati Rout is known for her brilliance and intellect was appreciated by senior officials in the State Government.
Her mode of presentation and perspective on human resource management, industrial development, financial management is praiseworthy, said a senior mandarin.
