SJTA Chief Push For Ratna Bhandar Work

New Delhi: Dr.Arabinda Padhee, Chief Administrator Shree Jagannatha Temple Administration (SJTA) held discussions with Archeological Survey of India (ASI) Director General Dr. Yadubir Singh Rawat here on 12 March regarding expediting restoration work of Ranta Bhandar of Srimandir.

Both Dr.Padhee and Dr.Rawat held detailed discussion on the progress of the Ratna Bhandar work of the Shrimandir.

SJTA Chief Administrator, Dr.Padhee thanked ASI for the conservation work of the Ratna Bhandar and stressed on the timely completion of the work.

Similarly, the renovation of the side temples was also discussed. The AC system at the Natamandap, lighting of the Shrimandir, and other renovations and the work of silver and gold encampment were also discussed.

ASI Chief suggested that attention should be paid to the cultural features while carrying out these works.

ASI Additional Director General (Conservation) Dr. Janhwij Sharma was present during this discussion.

During this visit, the Chief Administrator met senior officials of the Union Ministry of Culture and also discussed the matter of listing Rath Jatra as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
