Bhubaneswar: Veteran Political Personality Ananga Udaya Singh Deo has lauded arrangements in Mahakumbh Mela at Prayagraj.
Senior Vice President of Biju Janata Dal and Former Rajya Sabha Member, Shri Singh Deo along with his wife Shrimati Vijaya Lakshmi Devi took holy dip at Sangam here on 19 February.
Shri Singh Deo walked down more than two kilometers and he could find the State Government has put in place advanced measures to ensure smooth crowd control and traffic management.
He said that boat ride to Sacred Sangam was pleasant and boatman was very helpful. After holy dip, they held puja and aarti of Ganga.
Shrimati Vijaya Lakshmi Devi said that despite the massive influx of devotees, the spirit of faith, enthusiasm, and devotion continues to rise, with people flocking to the sacred banks of the River Ganga to take part in the divine ritual.
The Uttar Pradesh Government declared that at least 55 Crore devotees have taken holy dip at Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj here on 19 February.
The Mega event that occurs every 144 years, began on 13 January and will end on 26 February, Maha Shivaratri.
