Bhubaneswar: In a major reshuffle among senior IAS Officers, the State Government today appointed Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Satyabrata Sahu in the crucial Home Department.
Shri Sahu, an IAS Officer of 1991 batch, will continue as ACS, Forest, Environment and Climate Change Department, as per a notification brought out by the General Administration and Public Grievances Department on reshuffle of 18 senior IAS officers this evening.
As per the notification, 1993 batch IAS Officer Deoranjan Kumar Singh has been appointed as ACS Revenue & Disaster Management Department with additional charge of Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) and Managing Director, Odisha State Disaster Management Authority (OSDMA).
Surendra Kumar, another IAS officer of 1993 batch, is appointed as Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Steel & Mines Department. Kumar is allowed to remain in additional charge of General Administration and Public Grievance Department, Parliamentary Affairs Department, Chairman of Odisha Mining Corporation Limited (OMC), Odisha Mineral Exploration Corporation Limited and Industrial Development Corporation of Odisha Limited (IDCO), Bhubaneswar.
Senior IAS Officer and Industries Principal Secretary Hemant Sharma has been allowed to remain in additional charge of Principal Secretary, Energy Department, in addition to his additional posting as Chairman, IPICOL and Principal Secretary of MSME Department.
Senior IAS Officer and SSEPD Principal Secretary Bishnupada Sethi has been given additional charge of crucial ST & SC Development, Minorities and Backward Classes Welfare Department and Odia Language, Literature and Culture Department.
Usha Padhee, a 1996 batch IAS Officer is the new Principal Secretary Housing & Urban Development Department. Padhee is allowed to continue in additional charge of the Commerce & Transport Department.
Vishal Gagan, a 1998 batch IAS Officer has been transferred as Principal Resident Commissioner, New Delhi.
Principal Secretary to Governor, N.B.S. Rajput is allowed to remain in additional charge of Principal Secretary, Skill Development and Technical Education Department.
Health Secretary Shalini Pandit has been transferred to the School and Mass Education Department. She is allowed to continue in additional charge of Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Mission Shakti Department.
School and Mass Education Secretary Aswathy S is the new Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department.
The BJP Government has transferred Roopa Roshan Sahoo as Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC), Southern Division, Berhampur while Sachin Ramchandra Jadhav is the new RDC, Northern Division, Sambalpur. B. Parameswaran, a 2008 batch IAS Officer, is the new RDC, Central Division, Cuttack.
Young IAS Officer Balwant Singh is appointed as Tourism Secretary and he has been allowed to remain in additional charge of Managing Director, OMC, Managing Director, Odisha Mineral Exploration Corporation Limited, Bhubaneswar and Managing Director, IDCO.
Yamini Sarangi, State Project Director, Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan with additional charge of Special Secretary, Finance Department is allowed to remain in additional charge of Commissioner, Commercial Taxes & GST.
Dr. Noonsavath Thirumala Naik has been appointed as Vice-Chairman of Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) with additional charge of Managing Director (MD) of Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited (BSCL) and Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT).
