Bhubaneswar: Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary, Works, Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare, chaired a high-level meeting to finalize a month-long initiative under the Seba Sankalpa Abhiyan, scheduled to run from September 17 to October 17.
Attended by Shri K. Sudarshan Chakravarthy, Managing Director of the Odisha State Civil Supplies Corporation, and other senior officials, the meeting mapped out a comprehensive schedule to streamline services, address grievances, and extend benefits to beneficiaries of the State Food Security Scheme.
The effort will be carried out through the joint coordination of the Food Supplies Department, District Supply Officers, civil administration, local bodies, and block-level authorities across Odisha.
The campaign begins with a week of public awareness drives from September 20 to 27, informing citizens about Public Distribution System delivery timelines, food grain allocations, grievance channels, and Fair Price Shop operations.
Following this, the Seba Setu program will run from September 26 to 30 to resolve pending issues related to e-KYC verification and the linking of Aadhaar and mobile numbers to Ration Cards. From September 28 to October 3, dedicated service camps will assist families with updating member details, making corrections, and resolving card-related issues.
To ensure transparency and accountability, official inspections will take place at Fair Price Shops from October 4 to 8, cross-referencing physical stock levels and pricing records with electronic Point of Sale data to curb malpractices. From October 9 to 12, specialized grievance camps will hear complaints about short-weighing, non-receipt of rations, or procedural delays.
The campaign will then pivot from October 13 to 15 toward identifying eligible families currently left out of the system. Finally, on October 16 and 17, leadership will review district-wise reports to evaluate the program’s overall impact and address any remaining operational gaps.
