New Delhi: In a significant tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports and Labour & Employment, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, along with Union Minister of State, Smt. Raksha Khadse, today announced the launch of the Sardar@150 Unity March.
This nationwide campaign, led by MY Bharat, is dedicated to commemorating the enduring legacy of Sardar Patel as India approaches his 150th birth anniversary.
The two-month initiative is designed to deeply honor Sardar Patel’s monumental achievement of uniting India. The campaign seeks to inspire unity, patriotism, and a strong sense of civic responsibility among the nation’s youth, encouraging them to embody the ideals of ‘Ek Bharat, Atmanirbhar Bharat’ in their daily lives—principles that resonate with Sardar Patel’s vision for a unified and strong India.
The Sardar@150 Unity March is an integral part of the broader Viksit Bharat Padyatras organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Jan Bhagidari (people’s participation) in Rashtranirman (nation-building), this initiative aims to strengthen the spirit of national pride and unity that the ‘Iron Man of India’ championed.
The campaign specifically underscores the pivotal role of the youth, particularly the Amrit Peedhi (the generation of the Amrit Kaal), in the nation-building process, serving as a powerful tribute to Sardar Patel’s timeless contributions to a consolidated and strong nation.
