Balangir: Ahead of elections, senior Congress leader and Kantabanji MLA Santosh Singh Saluja got death threats through posters and banners put up in his constituency threatening to kill him within 15 days.
Posters and banners threatening to kill Sardarji in 15 days along with a picture of an unidentified person were put up at some prominent places in Kantabanji area on Monday morning.
After seeing the posters, the locals informed the Kantabanji police, which seized the posters, banners and initiated an investigation.
While reacting on this issue, Shri Saluja said the life threat was given for political reasons.
“From some electronic media, I came to know about the incident. As the election is approaching, I am working day and night for the development of my constituency. At this time, someone is directly challenging to kill me by putting up posters, which is shocking,” the Congress Veteran said.
“I will not fear to die for the development of my constituency. If one Saluja dies, hundreds of Saluja will take birth,” he said.
The Congress Lawmaker urged the Police administration to immediately arrest the person, who has given life threat.
