Road Map For Training

Bhubaneswar: Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena on Tuesday asked all Secretaries to submit a proposal to Gopabandhu Academy of Administration (GAA) for training of newly recruited officers of their concerned departments.

Chairing All Secretaries meetings here at Kharavela Bhawan Jena has given this direction.

Among the various agendas presented in the meeting, Director General of GAA Raj Kumar Sharma has informed about modernization of various training provided in the academy and highlighted the need for training for government officials and employees.

Training for newly recruited officers and training for noting & drafting skills for Section Officers, Desk Officers, ASO, deputy secretaries in various departments as well as training proposals for senior officers in accordance with Corporate Guidelines and Company Law were discussed during the meeting.

On the other hand, construction of two hostels and strengthening of infrastructure in GAA were also discussed in the meeting.

Secretaries of all Departments have been asked to send proposals regarding training requirements in their departments as soon as possible.

At the beginning of the meeting, Nuapada district, which has topped among Aspirational Districts in executing pipe water supply projects under the Jal Jeevan Mission, was given a certificate.

On this occasion, Sachin Ramachandra Yadav, Director of Tourism Department and District Collector of Nuapada, Hema Kant Say, received the certificate from the Chief Secretary.

In the meeting, the Finance Department presented the fiscal status of the State for the financial year 2023-24 as of June. The Chief Secretary asked to expedite the expenditure as per the target set in budget estimation.

He also asked the Secretaries to utilize the fund allocated from central grants received by the state in various fields.

Similarly, in the context of the promotion of social welfare programs by various departments of the State Government, a detailed discussion was held.

Shri Jena emphasized on ramp up of information, education and communication (IEC) activities by conducting public awareness programs by folk artists by the Department of Information and Public Relations and the Department of Odia Language, Literature and Culture.

Also, in the meeting, a proposal was presented by the department in relation to promoting the export of MSME products through e-commerce portal.

Similarly, measures taken for conservation of energy in government offices, capacity building and administrative reforms required in the technical education department, redressal of pending grievances, etc. were discussed.  Jena asked the Secretaries to pay attention to the pending grievances cases.

He also directed the Secretaries to take steps to expedite pending pension cases in various departments and fill up various vacant posts in the departments.

Besides, the Chief Secretary instructed to expedite the developmental works undertaken in ‘Swaviman Anchal’ and KBK area under the Setu.

Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries and Secretaries of various departments of the State Government were present in the meeting.
