Revensaw Collegiate Celebrates Laddu Diwas

Cuttack: Ravenshaw Collegiate School in Cuttack celebrated Laddu Diwas on August 11, 2025, in a heartwarming tribute to the school’s enduring spirit and the fond memories of its esteemed alumni.

The day was centered around Guruji Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathy, a former student whose generosity and connection to the institution were the driving force behind the unique celebration.

The proceedings began with a solemn and moving rendition of the ‘Laddu Diwas’ by the school children, setting a reverent tone for the day. Following a welcome song by the students, the program featured a series of cultural highlights, including a special Laddu Diwas theme song performed by renowned singers and an elegant Odissi dance set to a prayer from Shri Guru Bhagwat.

Shrimati Pragati Panda, the Head Mistress, took to the stage to felicitate Guruji Dr. Satpathy, expressing the school’s deep gratitude for his continuous support. She highlighted his pivotal role in the school’s modernization, recalling the inauguration of the smart class on August 10, 2023, which was made possible by his generous donation.

Further underscoring Guruji Dr. Satpathy’s integral role, Justice Shri Laxmi Kanta Mohapatra, former Chief Justice of the Manipur High Court, formally requested him to become the patron of the school’s old boys’ association. He urged Guruji to continue advising and guiding the school for its future development.

In his discourse, Guruji Dr. Satpathy shared his thoughts and wisdom with the students, reflecting on his own cherished days at the school. He explained that the idea for Laddu Diwas was born from his sweet memories of school life, and it was a way to share that joy with the current generation of students.

The memorable program concluded on a sweet note with the distribution of laddus to every student, a perfect end to a day dedicated to celebration, remembrance, and community.
