New Delhi: Top Cop Rekha Lohani has been nominated for Presidents Police Medal for Distinguished Services for Republic Day 2024.
Ministry of Home Affairs has notified the PPMS Medal for Shrimati Lohani, who is serving as IGP in Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D).
Shrimati Lohani did her Graduation in Economics Honours from St.Stephens College, Post Graduation from JNU and PG Diploma in Cyber Laws from NALSAR University.
1997 Batch IPS Shrimati Lohani started career as ASP in Angul in 1998 and posted as SP Sonepur, Nayagarh and Balasore and later as SP Vigilance.
She served as DCP Headquarters and Additional CP Twin City Police Bhubaneswar-Cuttack.
Shrimati Lohani served in Intelligence Bureau and CRPF in Government of India.
Later she worked as IGP Modernization and worked as ADGP CAW&CW, while rendering yeomen’s service for the children and women in the State of Odisha.
Now serving as IGP BPR&D since 1 January, 2023, Shrimati Lohani has been honored with PPMS for her honest and sincere service.
Awarded with Police Medal for Meritorious Service, DG CRPF Disc, DGP Disc, Governor’s Medal during here long career of 27 years.
Shrimati Lohani represented India at UN Seminar on Fourth Female Senior Police Officer Command Development Course at Amman Jordan and brought laurels for the country, said a senior Top Cop.
