RDC Appeals All To Vote

Sambalpur: Srikanta Prusty, Revenue Divisional Commissioner Northern Division has urged people to vote in huge numbers in this phase of elections. 

Shri Prusty made appeal for voting in free and fair manner without any influence.

Addressing a Media Meet, Shri Prusty along with IGP Himanshu Kumar Lal, District Magistrate Akshya Kumar Agrawal, Superintendent of Police Mukesh Kumar Bhamoo briefed about the arrangements.

The Election Commission of India has made all arrangements for smooth conduct of the third phase of simultaneous Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in the area.

All arrangements have been made in polling booths  and voters were appealed to vote without fear and involve in the “Festival Of Democracy”.


District Magistrate Shri Agrawal briefed about that total booths, numbering 948 in Kuchinda,Rengali, Sambalpur and Rairakhol. There are 144 Critical booths.

In booths, sector police officers are at helm and 12 Companies of Central Armed Police Force Jwans are deployed, briefed SP Shri Bhamoo.

District Excise Officials have strengthened enforcement for seizures of liquor, said Shri Agrawal.

Later to inculcate confidence among the voters, RDC Shri Prusty, IGP Shri Lal, DM Shri Agrawal and SP Shri Bhamoo led the “Flag March” inside the City of Sambalpur.

During the Flag March State Police and CAPF Jawans joined to cover areas. People were seen happy with this initiaitve.

Team Sambalpur started from Bhutapada Chhak ,Dhanupalli, Motijharan, BED College, Zila School Square, VSS Marg -Laxmi Talkies, Gole Bazaar Baidya Nath Square and Pirababa Square and covered nearly 4 Kilometers.
