Ratna Bhandar Inventory Begins On 25 March

Puri: The historic process of inventory the sacred treasures of the Ratna Bhandar will officially commence on March 25.

Following a high-level meeting held at the Shreemandir assembly hall today, Justice Biswanath Rath, Chairman of the Ratna Bhandar Committee, and the Chief Administrator Dr.Arabinda Kumar Padhee announced that the auspicious time for starting the inventory has been fixed between 12:09 PM and 1:45 PM.

The Chief Administrator confirmed that the entire counting process will be carried out in strict alignment with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) which was previously drafted and has now been fully approved by the State Government.

Earlier as a major step toward preserving the divine heritage of the 12th-century Shree Jagannatha Temple, the Chief Administrator of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee presented SOP to the state Government

This approved framework outlines the specific security protocols and ritualistic guidelines required to maintain the sanctity of the Lord’s treasury.

During the media briefing, SJTA Chief Dr.Padhee emphasized that all administrative arrangements are finalized to ensure a smooth and transparent inventory of both the inner and outer chambers in phased manner.

This scheduled commencement on March 25 marks a significant moment for the temple administration and the millions of devotees awaiting the formal documentation of the deity’s divine ornaments.
