Bhubaneswar: Light to heavy rainfall or thunderstorm with lightning is likely to occur in several parts of Odisha for the next five days, informed the Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar on Thursday.
According to India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast, thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Boudh, Bolangir, Sonepur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj.
Similar weather conditions are to prevail over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Khurda, Nayagarh, and Kandhamal on Friday; and over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Cuttack, Nayagarh, Khurda, Puri, Ganjam, Kandhamal, and Boudh on Saturday.
There will be a slight change in weather on Sunday with heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nuapada, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Koraput, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, and Sundargarh; and thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Nuapada, Bolangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Angul, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, and Cuttack.
Similarly on Monday, heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Nayagarh, and Cuttack; and thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Malkangiri, and Koraput.
