Bhubaneswar: In a minor reshuffle among senior IPS officers, the State Government today appointed B Radhika as chairperson of Police Recruitment Board (PRB) on her return from Central Deputation.
The State Home Department has issued a notification in this regard today. As per the notification, 1989 Batch IPS Shrimati Radhika will also remain in additional charge of Director, State Forensic Science Laboratory (SFSL), Odisha.
2001 Batch IPS S Shyni, who is now serving as Inspector General of police (IGP), Training, Biju Patnaik State Police Academy, has been given additional charge of IGP, Crime Against Women & Children Wing (CAW&CW).
Similarly, IGP Central Range Ashish Kumar Singh will hold additional charge of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Odisha State Police Housing and Welfare Corporation (OPHWC).
2004 Batch IPS Shri Singh will report to the CMD of OPHWC, Sanjeeb Panda, an IPS Officer of 1994 Batch.
The State Government has effected the IPS reshuffle ahead of appointment of new police DG.
Last month, the State Government had allowed present Odisha Police DG Sunil Bansal to retire from services with effect from December 31, 2023 on completion of his two years tenure in the highest post in the State Police Force.
