Puri: Shree Jagannatha Temple Administration has successfully secured official trademark registrations for some of its most sacred identifiers, marking a historic step in protecting the spiritual and cultural heritage of the holy shrine in Puri.
The Temple Administration recently filed twenty-nine applications before the Indian Trade Marks Registry to protect the unique identity, sacred names, and institutional symbols associated with Mahaprabhu Shree Jagannatha.
According to Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee, the Chief Administrator of the temple administration, the registry has already granted official registration to two deeply revered word marks: Ananda Bajara, the sacred courtyard where the divine Mahaprasad is distributed, and Patitapabana, the merciful manifestation of the Lord who blesses devotees at the temple entrance. Additionally, the official Nilachakra logo, which represents the holy wheel atop the temple spire, has received formal approval.
Shree Jagannatha Temple Administration Chief confirmed that the remaining twenty-six applications, which encompass various other well-recognized names and divine identifiers linked to the centuries-old traditions of the temple, are currently under advanced stages of consideration. The administration remains highly optimistic about a positive outcome for these pending applications.
SJTA Chief Administrator Dr. Padhee emphasized that these registrations are not merely legal formalities but represent a vital spiritual duty to safeguard the pristine heritage, authenticity, and intellectual property associated with Mahaprabhu Shree Jagannatha.
This initiative ensures that the sacred traditions and spiritual legacy of the Puri temple remain protected from misuse, preserving the sanctity of the faith for generations of devotees to come.
