Bhubaneswar: In order to attract investment in the Pumped Storage Projects (PSPs), the Government of Odisha is framing a draft for the Odisha PSP Policy 2025.
Earlier, Odisha Government notified the Odisha Renewable Energy Policy, 2022.
Now, with an aim to create a conducive ecosystem for the development of renewable energy and to accelerate the adoption of clean energy, decarbonization of the energy sector, while attracting a meeting was conducted today, chaired by Deputy Chief Minister, Agriculture & Farmer’s Empowerment and Energy Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Singh Deo gave his valuable inputs for framing separate SOPs for state-identified off-the-river PSPs & self-identified off-the-river PSPs.The detailed SoP and operational guidelines for the PSPs will be issued under this.
Development Commissioner, Anu Garg, Principal Secretary Energy, Vishal Dev, EIC Electricity, Pyarimohan Mishra, and senior officials from OHPC, GRIDCO, and Water Resources participated in this meeting.
