Prusty Takes RDC Charge

Sambalpur: Senior IAS Officer, Srikanta Prusty has taken over as Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC) Northern Division, Sambalpur.

2003 Batch IAS Officer, Shri Prusty took the charge as RDC ND here on 31 January afternoon.

2005 Batch IAS Suresh Chandra Dalai, who was RDC ND superannuated on today.

Shri Prusty was earlier serving as Special Secretary Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water.

Known as a proactive IAS Officer, Shri Prusty chalked out programs to review people oriented schemes implemented under 5T Charter, adding grievance redressal mechanism will be activated.

Similarly review of activities of National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), which is implementing National Highway Projects is on card.

Notably, earlier Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had raised concern over slow progress of expansion work of the 265-km Cuttack-Sambalpur NH-55 resulting in frequent road accidents.

So Shri Prusty has decided to review the progress of NH-55 and will be expediting the project works.

Similarly various Railway Projects and other infrastructure issues will be reviewed by the new RDC, said a senior official.

Irrigation Projects, land acquisition and issues relating to social sector will receive attention of the new RDC, said he.
