New Delhi:Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flagship initiative, “Pariksha Pe Charcha” (PPC) 2025, has made history by setting a new Guinness World Record. The program was awarded the record for “Most people to register for a citizen engagement platform in one month,” with an astounding 3.53 crore (35.3 million) registrations.
The official Guinness World Record certificate was presented at a ceremony in New Delhi, attended by a host of dignitaries, including Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister for Electronics and IT Ashwini Vaishnaw, and Minister of State for Electronics and IT Jitin Prasada. The record was formally validated and announced by Guinness Adjudicator Rishi Nath.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan lauded the initiative, stating that under the Prime Minister’s leadership, PPC has “redefined India’s approach to examinations by turning stress into a festival of learning.” He noted that the 8th edition of the program also garnered over 21 crore (210 million) views across various media platforms, showcasing its immense popularity and impact. Pradhan emphasized that the overwhelming participation is a testament to the nation’s commitment to “holistic and inclusive education” and aligns with the vision of a “Viksit Bharat.”
Echoing this sentiment, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw praised PPC as a “unique initiative” that promotes student well-being and career awareness. He added that the record-breaking registration numbers are a clear reflection of the strong public trust in the initiative.
The event, which is an annual program where the Prime Minister interacts directly with students, teachers, and parents, has evolved into a “Jan Andolan” (people’s movement) aimed at reducing exam-related stress and encouraging a positive approach to learning. The initiative is also seen as a practical implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which advocates for a stress-free and joyful learning environment.
The record-setting achievement underscores the program’s growing success and its role as a cornerstone of student engagement in India. As PPC continues to grow each year, it reinforces the message that examinations are not an end but a beginning of a new journey.
