Policy Changes For Edu Hub

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has said the State Government is fully committed to making Policy Provisions to make Odisha the most preferred Educational Hub in the Country.

While expressing delight over Prime Minister Narendra Modi laying the Foundation Stone for infrastructural development of IIM Sambalpur on 2 January, Chief Minister Mr.Patnaik joined in this pursuit of excellence.

Speaking in the ceremony, Chief Minister Mr.Patnaik said that IIM Sambalpur, which was set up in 2015  has already proved its mettle as one of the premier management institutions of the country.

In just about five years, it has been able to cast its positive impact upon the hierarchy of educational institutions in Odisha.

Odisha has a tradition of educational excellence since ancient times and historically, Odisha has been at the forefront of education and research.

Chief Minister said that Education in Odisha is witnessing a rapid transformation and expressing happiness over as the State continues its dominance in education sector and has emerged as the Education Hub of the Eastern India.

With the establishment of IIM, IIT, NISER, IISER, AIIMS, NLU and many other Institutions of National Importance,

Odisha is emerging as a leading research hub of the nation, said Chief Minister, adding that that he is thankful to the Government of India for the same.

Government of Odisha accords highest priority to development of Human Resource and Odisha Government  has made The “Skilled in Odisha” Brand, which has already become an international brand.

CM said State’s focus is to train the youth with the latest technology and technical know-how, and to make them market ready as per the demands of Industry 4.0.

Mr.Patnaik said IIM Sambalpur has been aspiring to be the leading Entrepreneurial Hub in the Odisha and has entered into an MoU with the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises with emphasis on nurturing the entrepreneurial talent of the local weavers and agro-based businesses and to incubate Start-Ups in these areas.

This works in line with the Government of Odisha’s resolve to ensure inclusive, equitable, and sustainable development in the State and he said that State Government is supporting IIM Sambalpur in all its endeavors.

CM congratulated the Chairman, Director, Faculty and Staff of IIM for their commitment to make IIM, Sambalpur one of the best management institutions of the country.

Mr.Patnaik said he is sure with the support of Prime Minister and he is hopeful of more and more Central Institutes will come to Odisha and accelerate the growth trajectory  of the state
