New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, on December 25, 2025, to mark the 101st birth anniversary of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee. During the visit, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Rashtra Prerna Sthal at approximately 2:30 PM and subsequently address a public gathering.
The establishment of the Rashtra Prerna Sthal aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision to honor the legacy of India’s post-independence luminaries. The site is intended as a tribute to the life and ideals of Shri Vajpayee, whose leadership significantly influenced the country’s democratic and developmental trajectory.
Developed as a landmark national memorial, the complex covers 65 acres and was constructed at a cost of approximately 230 crore rupees. It is designed to serve as a permanent national asset focused on promoting leadership values, national service, and cultural consciousness.
Key features of the memorial include three 65-foot-high bronze statues of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, and Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, representing their roles in nation-building and Indian political thought. Additionally, the site includes a lotus-shaped museum spanning 98,000 square feet. This facility utilizes advanced digital and immersive technologies to document India’s national journey and the historical contributions of these leaders.
Officials state that the inauguration represents a significant effort to preserve the principles of good governance and selfless leadership for future generations.
