New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high-level meeting of the Council of Ministers in the national capital to review governance strategies and outline future development priorities. The comprehensive session focused significantly on accelerating next-generation reforms to enhance both the Ease of Living for citizens and the Ease of Doing Business across the country.

Reflecting on the deliberations, Prime Minister Shri Modi described the interactions as highly fruitful. He noted that the council members exchanged valuable perspectives and shared best practices, emphasizing that the central goal remains the execution of systemic reforms to realize the collective vision of a Viksit Bharat, or a fully developed India, by 2047.

During the session, which served as a crucial review of the administration’s policy goals, the Prime Minister urged ministries to prioritize swift decision-making and eliminate bureaucratic delays. He emphasized that the primary responsibility of governance is to bring maximum comfort to the lives of common citizens and ensure that the benefits of public welfare programs reach individuals efficiently.

The meeting featured detailed presentations from several key ministries, including Agriculture, Commerce, Road Transport, Corporate Affairs, and External Affairs.

Cabinet Secretary Shri T.V. Somanathan and representatives from NITI Aayog also provided overviews of ongoing structural transformations, outlining a clear roadmap for productivity and simplified public administration moving forward.
