New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today held a brief discussion meeting with all newly elected BJP MPs from Odisha including three Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Ashwini Vaishnaw and Jual Oram.
During the meeting, the PM asked the MPs about their number of terms, took an introduction, and asked them about the budget in their constituencies,
Emphasis on voters connecting programmes, the Prime Minister has advised the MPs to hold small small meetings in villages and panchayats to inform the voters about the welfare measures taken by the double-engine government and also collect their feedback.
He advised them for “Tiffin Meeting” for which leaders will take their tiffin and people will also bring their own tiffin and in these small meeting they will discuss strategy to strengthen the party base and other issues.
Such type of meeting are proving successful and bringing people closer to BJP, pointed out PM Shri Modi.
Shri Modi has also emphasized strengthening the party at grassroots level in Odisha. He cited the example of Gujarat where the BJP for the first time won in 1995. However it started strengthening it’s base since 1984 and at that time, the party was very weak in the state.
But, now, BJPhas emerged as the strongest party and ruling in the state for decades.
The Prime Minister advised the BJP leaders from Odisha to undertake initiatives to rule the state for at least 25 years. He also instructed the MPs to be active in social media to attract youths towards them.
In Lok Sabha Election 2024, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won 20 out of 21 seats, increasing their previous tally of 2019 by 12 seats.
BJP successfully secured a comfortable majority in the assembly elections as well by winning 78 seats out of 147.
