Kevadia: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today paid floral tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at the ‘Statue of Unity’ in Kevadia.
Prime Minister Shri Modi described the landmark as a monumental tribute to Sardar Patel and his vision of India’s unity and strength. He highlighted that the Statue of Unity, which holds the distinction of being the world’s tallest statue, stands as a profound symbol of national pride and the nation’s collective resolve to fulfill the dreams of Sardar Patel.
The Prime Minister also shared his thoughts on the social media platform X, stating, “Paid homage to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at the ‘Statue of Unity’ in Kevadia. SoU is a monumental tribute to Sardar Patel and his vision towards India’s unity and strength. Standing tall as the world’s tallest statue, it is a symbol of national pride and collective resolve to fulfil Sardar Patel’s dreams.”
The event underscores the Union Government’s continued reverence for Sardar Patel, often called the ‘Iron Man of India,’ for his pivotal role in integrating the princely states into the Indian Union after independence.
