PM Honors Odisha Toppers

New Delhi: With Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi honoring two Toppers from Odisha ITI, the Union Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Pramod Dalapati and Jitendra Pradhan of Odisha.

Both students, who hail from his parliamentary constituency of Sambalpur, received the prestigious ‘All India Topper Award – 2025’ from Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi at the ‘Kaushal Deekshant Samaroh’ in New Delhi.

The program featured the Kaushal Deekshant Samaroh, the fourth edition of the National Skill Convocation, organized in accordance with the Prime Minister’s vision, where 46 All India Toppers from Industrial Training Institutes under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship were felicitated. Two were from Sambalpur in Odisha.

The Union Minister for Education highlighted this achievement as a moment of great pride for Odisha and wished the two students a bright future.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated youth-focused initiatives worth more than ₹62,000 crore during the ‘Kaushal Deekshant Samaroh’ at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on October 4.

The Prime Minister extended greetings to lakhs of students from Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) nationwide, as well as students and teachers in Bihar. He noted that the large-scale convocation ceremony for ITI students, which the government initiated a few years ago, has become a significant tradition, with today marking another milestone.

Shri Modi emphasized that the ceremony underscores the high priority India places on skill development. He announced the launch of two major nationwide initiatives in education and skill development: Prime Minister highlighted that under the ₹60,000 crore PM SETU scheme, ITIs will be more robustly integrated with industries.

He also informed that 1,200 skill labs have been inaugurated across Navodaya Vidyalayas and Eklavya Model Schools throughout the country.
