New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his warm greetings to the nation on the sacred occasion of Rath Yatra, invoking the blessings of Mahaprabhu Shree Jagannatha for the health, happiness, and prosperity of all citizens.
In his message, the Prime Minister highlighted the festival as a radiant expression of India’s timeless spiritual and cultural heritage, emphasizing that the grand traditions of the Rath Jatra continue to inspire generations both across the country and around the world.
Sharing his wishes on the social media platform X, the Prime Minister expressed his hope that the divine grace of Lord Jagannatha would infuse new energy into the lives of all countrymen. He remarked that the festival embodies the core values of humility, collective participation, and selfless service. As part of his traditional greetings, the Prime Minister also shared a sacred Sanskrit Subhashitam dedicated to the deity: “Devadeva Jagannatha Surasuranamaskrita, Punyashlokavyayananta Paramatmannamo’stu te.” Through this verse, he offered salutations to Lord Jagannatha, revering Him as the Lord of lords, worshipped by both gods and demons, the eternal, infinite, and supreme soul, seeking His divine benevolence for the entire nation.
