PM Concern For Home Buyers

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the review of public grievances related to the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA). The Prime Minister stressed the critical need to enhance the quality and timeliness of grievance resolution to ensure justice and fairness for homebuyers.

He directed State Governments to ensure the mandatory registration of all eligible real estate projects under the RERA Act, asserting that strict adherence to RERA provisions is vital for rebuilding trust in the housing market.

Prime Minister made these above observations while chairing PRAGATI meeting, the ICT-based multi-modal platform designed for Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation, bringing together both Central and State Governments.

During the session, the Prime Minister reviewed three significant infrastructure projects valued at over Rs 62,000 crore, encompassing Road Transport, Power, and Water Resources across various States and UTs.

He underscored the strategic importance of these projects and urged collaborative efforts to resolve implementation hurdles and ensure their timely completion.

Prime Minister Modi highlighted that project delays not only escalate costs but also deny citizens access to crucial services and infrastructure. He called upon all stakeholders to prioritize efficiency and accountability, emphasizing that prompt delivery is essential for maximizing socio-economic benefits.

Additionally, Prime Minister Modi examined notable best practices concerning the development of India’s Semiconductor Ecosystem. He suggested that such initiatives could serve as guiding models for broader adoption across States and UTs, thereby strengthening the National Semiconductor Mission.

To date, PRAGATI meetings have reviewed 373 projects with a cumulative cost of approximately Rs 20.64 lakh crore.
