Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, today arrived in Bhubaneswar to attend the three-day Long All India Conference of Directors General/Inspectors-General- 2024.
On this occasion, the Department of Odia Language, Literature and Culture, Government of Odisha presented a grand welcome to the Prime Minister through various cultural programs.
Today, Airport Square, Capital Hospital, A.G. Various cultural programmes like Sambalpuri folk dance, Sahijata, Dulduli, Pashumukha, Ghumura, Sabar-Sabarani, Santhali, Ghodanach, Dharua, Dhemsa, Parja etc. were also organized by the Department of Odia Language, Literature and Culture Department at various places.
The Prime Minister was accorded a grand welcome through the organising of cultural programs. Minister Surjyabanshi Suraj, Principal Secretary, Bishnupada Sethi coordinated the program.
Sambalpuri, the famous folk dance of western Odisha, Sahiyat of Puri, Ghumura of Kalahandi, Dhemsa and Dharua dance of Koraput were the center of attraction in today’s program.
It is worth mentioning that the various folk dances and traditional instruments of Odisha are a perfect example of our Odia art, culture and tradition.
Today, during the visit of Prime Minister, Shri Modi to Odisha, there was enthusiasm among the people to witness the cultural program organized and there was a huge crowd in the program.
