Bhubaneswar: Retired IAS Officer Madhusudan Padhi took charge as the State Election Commissioner (SEC) today.
Arriving at the State Election Commissioner’s office at Toshali Bhawan, Shri Padhi took charge as the eighth State Election Commissioner from former State Election Commissioner Aditya Prasad Padhi.
After taking charge, all the officers and employees of the State Election Commission welcomed Shri Padhi with a bouquet.
He advised everyone to perform their duties sincerely and responsibly and maintain the dignity of the Election Commission.
SEC asked the officers to earn the trust of the people of the State by ensuring conducting the upcoming elections in a free and fair manner.
Shri Padhi had successfully discharged his duties in various departments of the State Government, starting from the post of District Collector in various districts to administrative head of different departments.
