Bhubaneswar: Odisha State Beverages Corporation Limited (OSBC) has clocked a turnover of Rs 7,456.64 crore (excluding value added tax) in the financial year 2022-23 .
The State PSU has deposited Rs 5,267.69 crore as excise duty to the state government and Rs 2,512.83 crore as value added tax (VAT).
OSBC reportedly made a profit of Rs 31.38 crore after payment of taxes. However, the corporation today released Rs 9.41 crore as the state government’s share of dividends.
Principal Secretary, Panchayati Raj, Drinking Water and Excise, Sushil Kumar Lohani handed over the amount to the Chief Secretary, Pradeep Kumar Jena in the form of a cheque to the State Government today.
Shri Lohani is the Chairman of OSBC and Managing Director of the Corporation Amber Kumar Kar and Chief General Manager Manas Ranjan Swain were also present on the occasion.
