Cuttack: Following protest by Civil Service aspirants on the serious errors in examination of Anthropology Papers, the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) today announced fresh exam dates for the two theory papers.
The Anthropology Optional Paper- I & II of Odisha Civil Services Main (Written) Examination-2023 will be held on May 14 (Wednesday) in two sittings.
“Keeping in view the dislocation arising because of interchange of Questions of Anthropology Optional Paper- I & II in the Odisha Civil Services Main (Written) Examination-2023 held on 27.04.2025 and considering the grievances of candidates received by OPSC, the Commission has decided to reconduct the tests,” the OPSC said a notice today.
The written examination in respect of Anthropology Optional Paper-I & II of the OCSE-2023 will be re-conducted on May 14, 2025 (Wednesday) for ensuring fairness and equal opportunity to the concerned candidates, it said.
The Anthropology Optional Subject, Paper-I will be conducted in first sitting from 9 AM to 12 PM and Paper-II from 2 PM to 5 PM.
The PwD candidates will be given one-hour extra time in each sitting, from 9 AM to 1 PM & 2 PM to 6 РМ.
The written examination in respect of Anthropology Optional Paper-I & II held on April 27, 2025 will be treated as cancelled and the answer scripts of the said examination will not be evaluated, the Commission clarified.
The candidates can download the Admission Certificate & Instructions to Candidates for the said examination from May 8, 2025.
