New Delhi: While till now, around 56,000 candidates have been placed through ASEEM portal across the country including 15 candidates from the State of Odisha.
Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Minister of State Skill Development and Entrepreneurship has said in a reply in Rajya Sabha today.
Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) has launched Aatmanirbhar Skilled Employees Employer Mapping (ASEEM) portal, which acts as a directory of skilled workforce.
The objective is to provide a platform that matches supply of skilled workforce with the market demand, thereby facilitating better livelihood opportunities for youth and availability of ready skilled manpower to employers.
ASEEM portal is being managed by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) under the aegis of Ministry.
Till now, 1.3 crore candidates have been registered on ASEEM portal.
On ASEEM Portal, a total demand of around 21.79 lakh has been aggregated nationally with the highest aggregation in the Logistics sector which is around 26 Percent.
In the State of Odisha, total demand of around 17,000 has been aggregated on ASEEM with the highest aggregation in Retail sector which is around 32 Percent.
The ASEEM Portal provides a platform that matches supply of skilled workforce with the market demand, thereby facilitating better livelihood opportunities for youth and availability of ready skilled manpower to employers.
MSDE through NSDC is providing facilities to candidates for registering on Demand Aggregation Portal where the need for up-skilling/re-skilling is being catered depending on candidates’ aspirations.
