One-Year Report Card Unveiled

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today unveiled a comprehensive report card detailing his government’s achievements over the past year, attributing the success to the unwavering guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The occasion also marked the release of a coffee table book by the Information and Public Relations Department, chronicling the administration’s progress.

Speaking to Media, Chief Minister Shri Majhi expressed profound gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Modi, stating that “With the blessings of Lord Jagannath, we have been able to fulfill all our major commitments. Behind each of our programs is the guidance of the successful Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji.

He has come to us in all our endeavors and with his inspiration, all our programs have reached the pinnacle of success.” He also announced that Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to visit Odisha for the sixth time on June 20, where he will further inspire the state’s citizens.

The Chief Minister highlighted the pivotal decisions made during the first cabinet meeting on the evening of June 12, 2024. These included the launch of the Subhadra Yojana, an additional payment of Rs. 800 per month for Dhankina, the reopening of all four gates of the Puri Jagannath Temple, and the establishment of a Rs. 500 crore corpus fund for the temple.

Over the past 12 months, the government has focused on fulfilling its major commitments, showcasing significant strides across various sectors. Key achievements cited in the report include:

  • Women Empowerment: India becoming the first country to create 17 lakh self-help group members (husbands and wives).
  • Agriculture: A record allocation of Rs. 37,838 crore for the Samrud Krishi Yojana.
  • Education: Establishment of Godavarish Mishra Adarsh Vidyalaya, implementation of the new education policy, and the introduction of Sishu Batika.
  • Health: Implementation of the Ayushman Bharat Yojana.
  • Infrastructure: A record allocation of Rs. 65,102 crore for infrastructure development.
  • Welfare: An allocation of Rs. 68,881 crore for the welfare of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.

The coffee table book, detailing these achievements, was unveiled by Chief Minister Majhi in the presence of BJP State President Man Mohan Samal.

Other dignitaries present at the event included Principal Secretary Information & Public Relations Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director I&PR Anuj Kumar Das Pattnaik, and Director Technical Surendranath Parida. The report card underscores the government’s commitment to the welfare and development of Odisha under the continued inspiration of the Prime Minister.
