OHPC Pacts With NPTI

Bhubaneswar: Reinforcing its commitment to build a future-ready workforce and fostering operational excellence, Odisha Hydro Power Corporation Limited (OHPC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Power Training Institute (NPTI), Hydro Power Training Centre, Nangal, on 13th July 2026, to collaborate on training, skill development, and capacity building of OHPC employees.

The MoU was signed by Shri Sandeep Patnaik, Director (HR), OHPC, and Shri Shekhar Ishwardas Mahanta, Director, NPTI, Hydro Power Training Centre, Nangal, in the presence of senior officials from both organisations.

NPTI, Hydro Power Training Centre, Nangal, an apex training institution under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, has been at the forefront of developing skilled human resources for the Indian power sector. Through this partnership, OHPC aims to further strengthen the technical expertise, managerial capabilities, and professional competencies of its workforce in line with evolving industry requirements.

The MoU aims to facilitate advanced technical training, simulator-based learning, leadership development, and continuous professional education, enabling employees to keep pace with emerging technologies and best practices in the hydropower sector. The collaboration will also provide opportunities for knowledge exchange and specialised training programmes designed to enhance operational capabilities across the organisation.

This strategic collaboration underscores OHPC’s continued focus on innovation, professional development, and sustainable organisational growth, contributing to the reliable and efficient generation of clean hydroelectric power in Odisha.
