OESA Condemns OAS Assault

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Engineers’ Service Association (OESA) has vehemently condemned the alleged “inhuman act of manhandling” of a senior officer, Shri Ratnakar Sahoo, OAS (SAG), that reportedly occurred within the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) premises on June 30, 2025.

In a strongly worded letter dated July 1, 2025, addressed to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Biranchi Narayan Pradhan, President of the OESA, expressed grave concern over the incident.

The Association stated that the alleged assault by “unsocial elements” is “a matter of great concern and should be taken up with utmost seriousness as per provisions of law with exemplary action.”

The OESA’s condemnation underscores the critical need for a secure and respectful working environment for government officials across the state.

The association has called for a swift and decisive response to the alleged incident, emphasizing that such acts against public servants cannot be tolerated.

The OESA has also reiterated its solidarity with the OAS Association following this incident.
