Odisha Withdraws Entry Curbs

Bhubaneswar: The State Government has withdrawn restrictions imposed for people coming to Odisha from other States. Now onwards, people visiting Odisha are no more required to produce COVID-19 Negative report or Final Vaccination Certificate.

Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Pradeep Kumar Jena has issued an order in this regard.

“Orders regarding stipulations/restrictions as per order No 2980, dated, 30 May 2021 on entry of people into Odisha from other States by producing Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) or RTPCR negative report or final vaccination certificate etc. is hereby withdrawn,” the SRC order said.

In the aftermath of resurgence in COVID cases, the State Government, on 12 April, had made it mandatory for people to show their COVID-19 negative report or a complete vaccination certificate to enter the State.

The restriction was imposed for all modes of travel, train, bus, aero plane, waterways or private vehicles. As per the earlier guidelines, if a person comes without these required reports or certificates, he/she will have to undergo seven days of mandatory institutional or home quarantine.
