Bhubaneswar: Odisha has been conferred the prestigious “Top Achiever” status in three major business reform areas at the Udyog Samagam 2025, an event organised by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.

The state was recognised for its exemplary performance in Business Entry, Labour Regulation Enablers, and Sector-Specific Healthcare reforms.

The recognition underscores Odisha’s emergence as a progressive and business-friendly state, driven by investor-centric policies and a reform-oriented governance model. This achievement reflects the state’s successful efforts to enhance the ease of doing business and foster a dynamic environment for sustainable industrial growth.

Leading the state’s proactive industrial efforts is Additional Chief Secretary of Industries Shri Hemant Sharma. His leadership has been instrumental in creating a conducive eco-system that has successfully attracted substantial investments across various sectors.

The Industries Department, under his guidance, has been credited with driving significant reform-led transformation and accelerating the grounding of numerous projects, moving the state towards its goal of becoming a major industrial hub.
