Odisha Shines At Asian Athletics Championships 2025

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s athletes have brought immense pride to the state and the nation at the Asian Athletics Championships 2025 in Gumi, South Korea, with exceptional performances that include a national record and a silver medal.

Sprinter Animesh Kujur showcased remarkable talent in the men’s 200-meter race, clinching a bronze medal and simultaneously breaking his own national record.

Shri Kujur completed the race in a blistering 20.32 seconds, securing third place in a highly competitive field. His achievement was lauded by Surjyabanshi Suraj, Minister of Sports and Youth Services, who extended best wishes for a bright future.

Adding to Odisha’s glory, the Indian women’s team secured a silver medal in the fiercely contested 4×100 relay race, with Odisha’s own Srabani Nanda playing a crucial role.

The quartet, comprising Srabani Nanda, Abhinaya Rajarajan, Sneha SS, and Nithya Gandhe, clocked an impressive 43.86 seconds.
