Odisha Paribar Saves Life

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Paribar Directorate and Kendrapara District Administration have extended a “hand of support to a  poor Odia who is being treated for brain stroke in Kerala.

The aforesaid Odia man was Basant Parida. Basant Parida of Gupti village under Rajnagar block of Kendrapara district was working for a farmer in Ernakulam district of Kerala and was residing with his wife and four unmarried daughters on a meager income.

On 10 August 10, Shri Parida fell seriously ill and was admitted to the Apollo Adlux Hospital in Ernakulam.

As his financial condition was poor, his wife Subhadra Parida informed Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi along with various government officials and  Odisha Paribar for her husband’s treatment.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, after getting this news had instructed Director of Odisha Mo Paribar Dr. Bijay Ketan Upadhyay.

Director Dr. Upadhyay had a discussion with Kendrapara District Collector Smurti Ranjan Pradhan. Later, the Kendrapara District Administration provided an emergency aid amount for Shri Parida’s treatment.

It has been reported that Shri Parida’s condition has improved after he underwent surgery on 14 August Shri Parida’s family members have received all kinds of help and support in such a time of crisis.

Bijay Ketan Upadhyay, Director Odisha Mo Paribar Kendrapara District Collector Smurti Ranjan Pradhan, Additional District Magistrate Nilu Mahapatra, Disaster Officer Pallavi Pan, Joint Director of Odisha Mo Paribar Subodh Chandra Acharya, Special Duty Officer Pritish Panda and Lakshmidhar Behera expressed their gratitude.

In fact, Shrimati Parida brought the matter to the attention of SSEPD Principal Secretary Bishnupada Sethi and pleaded to save the life of her husband.

Shri Sethi coordinated the matter with Dr.Upadhyaya, Director Odisha Paribar and Dr.Upadhyaya did the needful.

These mandarins are happy that Odisha Paribar could save a precious life.

Both Shri Sethi and Dr.Upadhyaya are kind hearted and helpful mandarins and they have been helping poor people all along, pointed out a NGO Activist.
