Odisha Halts B.Ed., M.Ed. Admissions

The Government of Odisha’s Higher Education Department has announced a temporary suspension of all admission activities for B.Ed., B.H.Ed., and M.Ed. courses for the academic year 2025-26.

Minister Higher Education, Suryabanshi Suraj took the decision in this regard and the decision, issued via an office order dated June 26, 2025, comes in response to numerous grievances alleging discrepancies in entrance test scores, admit officials.

The State Selection Board (SSB) has been directed to form subject-wise expert committees to re-verify the answer keys for the entrance examinations. Admission activities will remain on hold until this re-verification process is complete.

A revised admission schedule will be officially released on the SAMS portal (https://te.samsodisha.gov.in/) and publicized through leading newspapers. Students and institutions are strongly advised to rely only on these official channels for updates.

The order, issued by the Joint Secretary to the Government, has been communicated to relevant authorities for their information and necessary action.
