Bhubaneswar: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Odisha is set to commence its crucial organizational elections for the State President and National Council members from June 29th. The three-day election process, a vital step in the party’s triennial internal election cycle, will conclude on July 1st.
This announcement was made by State Election Officer and MP Shri Pratap Chandra Sarangi. He highlighted the significance of the exercise, which starts from the grassroots level and culminates in the election of the National President. The BJP’s local committee, mandal committee, and district committee elections have already been completed, laying the groundwork for the state-level process.
To ensure transparency and fairness, Central Election Officer Dr. B. Laxman has appointed Bihar MP Shri Sanjay Jaiswal as an observer for the Odisha elections. Shri Jaiswal is expected to arrive in Odisha following the official publication of the election notification. His role will be to oversee and supervise the entire electoral process.
The “Organizational Election 2024” is a regular affair for the BJP, conducted once every three years, and is instrumental in shaping the party’s leadership structure from the ground up to the national level. Sources
