OCA Slashes Ticket Price

Bhubaneswar: Keeping the request of cricket lovers in Odisha, the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) today slashed down the ticket price for One-Day International (ODI) cricket match to be held between India and England on February 9, 2025 here at historic Barabati Stadium.

The Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) today announced the reduced ticket price for the international match, after a special preparatory meeting held here under the chairmanship of Sports & Youth Services Minister Suryabanshi Suraj.

The preparatory meeting for the upcoming ODI match was held at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar.  The meeting was attended by representatives from all concerned departments of the Government of Odisha and key stakeholders involved in the event organization and coordination.

Principal Secretary of Sports & Youth Services, Bhaskar Jyoti Sarma, Siddhartha Das, Director, Sports & Youth Services, Deepankar Mohapatra, CEO HPCO and Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde, Cuttack District Collector attended the meet.

Office Bearers from OCA including Secretary Sanjay Behera, Prabhat Bhol (Joint Secretary), Bikash Pradhan (Treasurer) & Pratap Chandra Pradhan (Apex Council Member) and Avijit Paul (Secretary, Odisha Olympic Association) were also present.

The meeting was convened to review the preparations for this prestigious international cricket match and ensure seamless coordination between various agencies for its successful execution.

In-depth discussions took place on key aspects related to security, transportation, crowd management, hospitality, infrastructure readiness, and branding opportunities.

Additionally, based on the recommendation of the Sports Minister, the ticket rates for the match have been reduced.

As fans eagerly await this exciting encounter, the release of ticket prices marks the beginning of the countdown to a thrilling cricketing spectacle at Barabati Stadium.

With a capacity of 44,524, Barabati Stadium promises an electric atmosphere as fans gather to cheer on their favorite teams. The OCA has released a fresh price list for various stands, catering to different budgets and preferences.

As per the revised chart, the ticket price of Gallery 1,& 3 will be Rs 1100 while the price of Gallery 2,4 will be Rs 900, Rs 1200 for Gallery-5, and Rs 700 for Gallery-7.

The per seat price of Special Enclosure has been reduced by Rs 1000 to Rs 6,000 whereas the ticket price of Ac Gallery Box has been reduced to Rs 8,000.

Similarly, the ticket price of Corporate Box and New Pavilion will remain as it was Rs 20,000 and Rs 10,000, respectively.     

Barabati will conduct an ODI after a gap of over five years. It hosted an ODI match between India and West Indies on December 22, 2019. The England match will be the second of the three-game series in India.

Barabati Stadium has a rich history of hosting memorable ODI matches, with India boasting a strong track record at this venue. The last ODI held here was between India and West Indies in December 2019, where India emerged victorious. This upcoming clash against England promises another chapter in Barabati’s cricketing legacy.
