Bhubaneswar: Cricket Czar, Shri Pankaj Lochan Mohanty honoured the winners of the Mukteshwar Cup Under 16 Cricket Tournament 2025 concluded today at the MCC BJB Nagar Ground in Bhubaneswar with a high stakes final match that showcased the emerging talent of the region’s youth cricketers.
Organized by the Mukteshwar Cricket Club the tournament reached its definitive climax as local contenders battled for the championship title in front of a packed audience of sports enthusiasts and community members.
The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Shri Pankaj Lochan Mohanty, President Odisha Cricket Association, MLA Sri Babu Singh who attended as the Chief Guest.

Addressing the young athletes Sri Singh emphasized the necessity of grassroots sports infrastructure and the critical role of competitive cricket in fostering discipline and systemic excellence among the youth.
He was joined by Sri Jagganath Pradhan Senior BJP leader who highlighted the importance of sports in the socio legal framework of community development and the urgency of nurturing talent at the school and club levels to ensure a steady pipeline for state and national representation.
The event also saw the participation of key sports administrators including the President OCA Shri Pankaj Lochan Mohanty and Treasurer of the Odisha Cricket Association OCA and the Secretary of the Bhubaneswar Athletic Association.
Their presence underscored the tournament’s significance within the state’s cricketing calendar and the collaborative effort required to maintain high standards of play and officiating.
Office bearers and members of the Mukteshwar Cricket Club MCC were present to facilitate the awarding of trophies and individual honors to the standout performers of the tournament.
