Bhubaneswar: In her first ruling in the Assembly, Speaker Surama Padhy today imposed restriction on the use of mobile phones and carrying of water bottles inside the House.
After noticing some MLAs clicking pictures and talking in mobile phones inside the House, the Speaker has given this ruling this morning during Zero Hour. She also asked the members not to carry water bottles with them while entering into the House.
The Speaker advised the MLAs to drink water in the lobby area where it is adequately available.
Many MLAs have welcomed the decision of the Speaker as it will help in maintaining discipline and decorum in the Assembly.
