No Meeting On Monday

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has introduced a new administrative rule prohibiting all official and departmental meetings on Mondays.

This directive issued by Chief Secretary Anu Garg is designed to ensure that government officers remain available for public grievance hearings which take place every Monday throughout the state.

This mandate applies to every level of the administration from state departments to local panchayat offices. By keeping Mondays clear of internal discussions the government aims to provide citizens with direct access to officials and facilitate the immediate resolution of their concerns.

This policy is part of a series of measures led by Shrimati Garg to improve the responsiveness of the state machinery. To balance this requirement with necessary administrative reviews a new structured schedule has been set.

Regular virtual meetings with district collectors are now fixed for the 16th of each month while reviews for major infrastructure projects will be held on the third Saturday of every month.

These changes reflect the state current priority of making the administration more accessible and accountable to the people of Odisha. The government has indicated that these efforts will continue to focus on streamlining public service delivery and ensuring that state officials remain focused on grassroots issues.
