No Alternative To ABVP: Pradhan

Rourkela: In a powerful call to action for the youth of the nation, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan emphasized that the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) remains an irreplaceable force in leading India toward a prosperous future.

Speaking as the Chief Guest of the 50th State Convention of ABVP, Odisha West, Shri Pradhan, a former student leader who rose through the ranks of the ABVP before assuming his role in the Union Cabinet, Shri Pradhan highlighted the organization’s unique responsibility in shaping the next chapter of India’s growth, particularly in his home state of Odisha.

The Union Minister outlined a comprehensive roadmap for the coming years, placing special emphasis on the upcoming centenary of Odisha’s formation in 2036. He called upon the student community and the youth to move forward with a firm resolve to transform Odisha into a prosperous and developed state by this historic milestone.

Addressing the core pillars of the National Education Policy (NEP), Pradhan reiterated the importance of encouraging education in the mother tongue. He noted that learning in one’s native language is vital for cognitive development and cultural pride. Alongside educational reforms, the Minister set a stern social target, stating that it is a collective responsibility to ensure that no child in Odisha falls victim to malnutrition, calling for a grassroots movement to secure the health of the next generation.

Focusing on the economic and global standing of the country, Union Minister Shri Pradhan detailed several strategic goals:

Human Resource Productivity: A target to increase the productivity of India’s human resources from 50% to 75% to achieve the vision of a Developed India.

Entrepreneurial Shift: Creating an environment where the younger generation transitions from being job seekers to becoming job creators, fostering a culture of innovation and startups.

Global Leadership: Positioning India as a World Guru (Vishwa Guru) by actively solving global challenges through Indian expertise and values.

Health and Environment: Advancing initiatives that balance environmental cleanliness with increased health awareness among the public.

Shri Pradhan’s remarks underscore a vision where the youth, guided by the values of the ABVP, serve as the primary architects of a self-reliant and globally influential India.
