Sambalpur:Nimantran, is a one-stop destination for Odia cuisine, was inaugurated at the historic 17th-century Rani Bakhri, also known as the Queens Palace, in Sambalpur today.

This is the third Nimantran Restaurant set up by the Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC). Earlier two restaurants have been opened near Rama Devi College in Bhubaneswar, Blue Flag Beach, Puri.

Tourism Minister Ashwini Kumar Patra inaugurated the restaurant in presence of OTDC Chairman Lenin Mohanty, Zilla Parishad President Kumodini Nayak, Collector Ananya Das, Commissioner SMC Ved Bhushan, ADM, Sambalpur Pradeep Kumar Sahu. The ambiance of the Queens Palace, coupled with the culinary excellence of Nimantran, promises a regal dining experience like never before.

This expansion aligns seamlessly with the State’s commitment to the 5T initiative, emphasizing the principles of Teamwork, Transparency, Technology, Time, and Transformation.

The tourism and cuisines will definitely get popular through the ‘Nimantran’ restaurant of OTDC” said Mohanty.

The restaurants will be managed by OTDC through a dedicated wing which will serve a variety of authentic Odia cuisines from various districts of Odisha. A special menu has been planned by prominent chefs to serve the taste of Odisha on the platters at the restaurant.

Nimantran has been conceptualized with the purpose to serve authentic Odia cuisines from different districts of Odisha. These restaurants envisage to provide different flavours of authentic Odia cuisine which are also linked with culture, heritage, and lifestyle of Odisha.
